Opower‘s PowerUp Conference was a world-class event that our teams at Atlantic Media developed and ran. I was responsible for wireframing, designing the site, and collateral templates. I developed a system of custom icons for use throughout the event’s branding.
The main goal was to express the non-traditional nature of the event while tying in aspects of Opower’s branding. The biggest UX challenges were to drive people to request an invite and further explore the site. If I could have done anything differently, I think I would have decided against a one page site—some complex needs and functionality were discovered late in the process. Overall I am most proud of the high intensity and energy that the branding of the site conveyed.
